My daughter is five months old now, and she did the same thing about a month ago. She had been sleeping for 7-9 hour stretches, and then all of a sudden she was waking up three times a night again. I was so frustrated, but after a week, she was back to waking up once a night, and now she is sleeping through the night again. I promise it will pass. Hang in there!!

It may just take your body a little time to adjust to the change. I'm sure that soon your body will start to produce enough for him to get more full at feedings. He may be going through a growth spurt too, making him want to eat more. And also, breastmilk is digested faster than formula. If it keeps up, you may even want to supplement him with formula between every few breastfeedings to help him get more full and sleep longer. In the meantime, after you give him a bottle, you can pump to keep your supply up.

This is probably not the answer you want, but this happened to me. After 2 solid weeks of it and of trying everything, I got utterly exhausted and started suffering dizzy spells because I was so tired.
I reluctantly started giving my son formula at his 11pm feed (on the advice of my health visitor) and he is now sleeping much better and happier during the day.

It has nothign to do with your milk. It sounds like your baby is going through a growth spurts that's why he is eating more often. It should pass soon and you guys will be back to a more reasonable feeding routine.

He could be having a growing spurt. Or, did you change your diet? Did you cut back on calories? Do NOT diet while breastfeeding or he will not be satisfied. If you cut back on food for a couple of days...go to McD's and have a fatty lunch and your milk will return and your son will be happy.

It happens to everyone, he's growing and cluster feeding more beacuse he needs more to eat. it stimulates milk production and you'll make more milk.
Its how it works, just like this.
Its perfectly normal. It'll be better in a week or two.
