I would not put any product in it, i would just leave it alone. I know you want it to be cute for all his photos, but the truth is that is who and how he is at that age. My cousins little girl had the same problem and her hair did not lay down until she was almost a year old! It was soo funny and cute, she looked like a treasure troll!! But it was great, don't worry about it and let it fly, he likes it that way. By the time my son was 10 weeks all of his hair fell out. Then shortly after he had surgery at on his skull and they had to shave what little hair he had reverse Mohawk style then he had a huge scar going from ear to ear, for his baptism. It could be worse! He was still the most handsome new catholic there was!

vaseline, or better yet,a little baby lotion just before you pose him for his picture.

Honestly, you should just leave it. Some day you will look at that picture and thing "i wish his little fluffy hair looked normal".

I had the SAME hair as a baby, and people always told my mom "you can fix that hair if you do this," or "you can stop that hair fron baing crazy if you do that". thankfully she was confident enough to know that hair was precious and everyone else could shove it. lol.

I'd leave it. Some day he'll be big with a beard and deep voice. You'll be missing those hairs. :)

LOL LOL...that's cute!! My son's hair did the same thing. I don't think there's any safe gels you can put on him yet...he's too little...he might react to it wrong...hmm..I would just leave it. It's his baby trade mark! You'll look back at the pictures and remember what a hard time you had taming his Einsteinish hair..lol...I'm sure he'll look cute anyway! If anything...put water on it right before he takes the pictures so it stays down.
Congratulations on the baby and the baptism!

I wouldn't use an adult hair product because if his head gets wet and the product comes out it could burn his eyes. I would try olive oil. My doctor told me to use this for cradle cap. It will definately keep him from looking like a baby bird during the christening. Just don't use too much and wash it out soon after.

My ten week old looks like he has a mohawk most of the time. When we go out I use a little baby lotion on the head to keep the hair tame.

SO CUTE!!!!
My nephews hair did the same and for special occasions where my sis wanted his hair to lie flat she would do this:
took a hair brush (one that she didn't normally use on him)
spray a bit a hairspray on the brush (not the baby)
Let it dry for a second and then brush over his hair very gently. It worked fine. He is now older and the hairspray obviously didn't harm him.

Oh...Don't worry about it!

No matter what you do, his hair will get wet and it will get messed up.

Our daughter had the SAME thing! We called her troll baby because of those toy trolls and their hair that stands up.

We have so many photos of just her hair, popping up behind her blanket...it looked like a hedgehog! Haha!

Cherish your baby...spiky hair and all. You will love those photos in a few years, and if you try to flatten his hair, you will feel bad down the road that you tried to cover up something so inherently natural about him.

u can maybe try putting baby oil on a cotton ball and just pass it through his hair cos if u put too much then he will come out on the pictures with a shiny head and i dont think u would want that

I am not sure, my baby is bald. I just wanted to let you know how cute that is. Try vaseline, however if his hair sticks up his hair sticks up. It will make for good pictures and video.

Well, in my opinion. It is his hair. It is who he is right now. I think it would be better to have him look like himself. So, I would just keep it the way it is. When you look at the pictures 10 years from now, you will be happy that you kept him looking his cute normal self.
