Have you considered buy an nice new shiny computer to go with your monitor?
Trident was bought out by XTI some years ago. You can get the latest driver from here:
http://www.xgitech.com/sd/sd_download.asp#
Click on Desktop, then Blade 3D. then your OS.
Given that the latest drivers I saw were dated 2001 I doubt that you are going to get widescreen support. Non-wide 19" runs at 1280 by 1024 and 20" at 1600 by 1200. It should be capable of running those resolutions.
