It was recently announced that Dave would tour with VH this fall/winter, which begs the question: Are you old school Van Halen or are you a Van Hagar kinda person?

During both periods I just liked Van Halen. There were classic songs that only Dave could sing. And there are songs only Sammy can sing. Van Halen has gone through to many transitions for me. After Michael Anthony left the band, that was the end of the line for me. Eddie seemed to be upset with Michael because he was doing stuff with Sammy. Unfortunately at the time Van Halen wasn't doing anything. I know Eddie was sick and all. But he appeared kind of petty letting Michael go and replacing him with Wolfie. Van Halen will never be the same. I'm a Van Halen/Van Hagar purist. At this point it's neither.

I liked both
There's something to be said for the original but I really liked Sammy when he joined.
