At the 72 hour mark, the MAP is about 55% effective in preventing pregnancy; after that the efficacy rate drops dramatically. So while there IS a chance of it working, you'd have a better time betting on a lame horse winning the Kentucky Derby.

To know that the MAP worked, you would need to get your menstrual period. If you do not, then you need to take a pregnancy test. That is how you know whether or not it worked.

I took it once. It was 2 pills you took several hours apart and I was violently ill for about 12 hours after the second one. I don't know if anything was fertilized so I don't know if it worked.

it states that it can work up to 5 days after unprotected sex. The only way you know the pill actually worked is waiting till your next period.

I took it about that length of time after. You don't know if it works or not until you get your period. I got mine!
