Yes it's perfectly safe. Sometimes if you're "running late", the doctor recommends it to help you go into labor!

Yes! In fact, my midwife suggested I have sex to help induce labor. It's a little tricky, of course, with the baby in the way, but not impossible. I often had a little bit of spotting afterwards, but that was just because the cervix is so engorged that it's easy to bruise which can cause a little bit of bleeding. Good luck!

Sure it is! I have 10 children and I did it up until it was not comfortable for me any more. My doctor told me it kept the pelvis loose or excised for easy entrance through the vaginal walls for the baby. Walking is so good too! It made it easier to deliver my children. I had all natural births, no numbing, no anesthetics except for my two sets of twins. They were c-section. My brother use to call me a Professional Baby Maker. Good luck with your new arrival and keep having fun with your hubby! (smile)

Its great for all of you. You husband gets the release and connection he needs, your birth canal gets worked and stretched, and baby gets to share your endorphines.
If youre concerned about it causing labor, wear a condom. Its a hormone in sperm that causes your body to contract, (and to a lesser degree your orgasim).
Sex is great! Enjoy it. So long as you're not high risk you're good to go. Just dont let him irritate your cervix by getting too deep.

My doctor told me it was competely safe to continue having sex. I am 36 weeks as well. He actually encourages it as sex will help in dilation!

Yes, it's perfectly fine. I did it with my first pregnancy, all the way until two weeks before I had given birth. So don't worry. From what I heard it's actually good to have sex during pregnancy. GOOD LUCK!!

It is safe as long as you have a normal, healthy pregnancy. The only problem I had with it was that it caused my water to break around my due date for all three of my pregnancies before I was even dilated.

I had sex while preggo with second hours before I went into labour. He was two days over my due date. I was told from the doctor to do this so it would cause me to go into labour. Enjoy!
