I have posted questions here before in an attempt to either get my point across by being over the top, or to lighten things up. I see other questions that are clearly sarcastic, yet people answer them SO seriously.
You could look at my questions and not find funny, which is your right, but why are people here so serious? There are serious issues that need to be addressed, but are they going to be SOLVED in y/a politics?? Doubt it.
Lighten up folks!!

It is a bit difficult to correctly interpret sarcasm in an open forum. Some people ask serious questions that I would swear were meant in jest. Perhaps you should put
(sarcasm) at the end.
BTW-I do not expect to solve serious issues here but I do seek to persuade other people to my point of view. This is the place for politics not levity. I appreciate you may think this forum is too serious but some of us enjoy serious discussion. I don't think it would be appropriate to go on the jokes and riddles section and admonish them to take my question seriously, do you?

People go into armchair pundit role and lose any sense of humor on this board sometimes. I remember posting a question months ago proposing a "No politician left in place" act since we don't like anybody in Washington. The amount of venom that came back from that was insane. We all have to lighten up sometimes

Due to a mis-comprehension factor in wit, humor, sarcasm and satire...
My answers though treasured and adored by many (*cough* 2 or 3) also gain loving favor by vaginatarian-type liberals too quick to release the g-spot abuse button merely because of the extreme unattainable joy never before attained (or reached) tremors they get from such a pure, earth-shattering wave of power.

It's a little weird to worry about them. I picture them not in suits but in nerdy little jogging outfits. My own little rebellious nature is very proud that I have never actually bought anything from Yahoo. So even though they are God-like in their arbitrary power to delete questions and accounts - nothing that they do ever bothers me - because they will never see a dime from me! Isn't it great that they went through all that trouble to create this thing; yet they will never get a dime from me?!!!

A lot of us have given up on sarcasm because some folks will report you and get you deleted for using it. I like to think of them as the one-eyebrowed types (that's sarcasm).

it's not sarcasm that's the only thing taken seriously. Serious
questions are often taken to be humorous, and humor has
been known to really bring out indignation. People are
different and thought processes can be miles apart.

Sometimes, even when being sacastic, a question can hit home and will deserve a serious answer.

Yes it is lost but I don't use sarcasm in my answers. I don't answer the question properly at all.

Every time I use satire to make a point, the idiots who monitor this site take it literally and delete me.
