You'll have to get it diagnosed properly to determine the exact reason.
But O2 sensor is the most likely cause. It might be giving poor reading and having the computer inject too much fuel.
Other things to check include:
1. Tire Pressure, make sure they are inflated properly. Poor tire pressure can cause significant drops in gas mileage.
2. Brakes to be sure they aren't binding.

Don't be alarmed. The goverment is doing so much with fuel these days that fuel mileage suffers. Any gas that you buy that has ethonal in it, will cause fuel mileage to suffer. People who even use E85, get half the fuel mileage and half the power as using standard gas. Most gas today has 10% ethanol, which does lower fuel mileage.

WELL THE ONLY THING THAT I WOULD HAVE DONE AND IT WILL MAKE A DIFFERENCE IN GAS MILEAGE IS HAVE THE ALIGNMENT CHECKED AND SET IF NECESSARY.
A VEHICLE WITH ALIGNMENT PROBLEMS CAN REDUCE YOUR GAS MILEAGE AND I HAVE SEEN AS MUCH AS 10 MPG INCREASE ONCE THE ALIGNMENT HAS BEEN SET.
ALSO CHECK TIRES AND AIR PRESSURE AS WELL AND ALSO CHECK THAT YOU DON'T HAVE ANY UNNEEDED EXTRA WEIGHT THAT YOU ARE CARRYING.
