Odin (technically not king) is chief of the Norse gods. He is the son of Bor, by the giantess Bestla and gradually replaced Thor in Norse mythology as the leader of the Aesir. Sky god, All-Father. Wednesday named for him. Patron of culture. Inventor of runes. Gave his eye to drink from the cauldron of wisdom. Other eye is the sun. Destined to be killed at Ragnarok by the wolf Fenrir.

Odin was the king of the Norse Gods. He had two dogs and two ravens that did his bidding. He didn't like the Norse trickster god at all. His domain was over the heavens. He rode a mighty horse when changing the weather and throw lightning on his enemies. He only has one eye. He was also the maker and wearer of the Phoenix gate.

Odin is the "all father" and chief of the Aesir. Among the Germanic tribes, Thor was often revered above Odin. Thor was more of a mans man and was easier to relate to for many. They still very much respected Odin, they just thought that the voaction of shaman/magi was just not very macho.
