Wow and thanks folks for such mind-boggling tips! I hope just to see a few really nice and friendly spots to ensure a pleasant and memorable holiday. North Americans are certainly fortunate, being endowed with some of the most beautiful places on earth--from what i have read and watched on documentaries. u must strive to maintain the environment.

Hi, there are a lot of nice places to visit. You can't go wrong with the coast of Maine and Cape Cod. The Adirondaks and the Finger Lakes in northern New York State are wonderful. The Pacific Northwest is also incredible, everything from the San Juan Islands in the Puget Sound area to the Olympic Peninsula to the big volcanos like Mt. St. Helens or Mt. Rainier and the Cascade Loop through the mountains of Washington State, and of course the coastlines of both Oregon and Washington. California is also nice, a great coastline north of Santa Barbara, San Francisco is a really fun and interesting city, but dress warm. You can walk across the Golden Gate Bridge for example. The Rocky Mountains are great, too, from Grand Tetons and Yellowstone in Wyoming all the way to New Mexico. British Columbia is great, too--we took the ferry from Vancouver to Nanaimo then drove to Tofino on the west coast of Vancouver Island and it is utterly outstandingly beautiful, but it is called the "rain coast" for a reason. Anyway, enjoy your trip, hope you have a wonderful time!!

My first thought was Zion National Park. It is north of the Grand Canyon, and I think it is beautiful. There are many great places to go in America, it kind of depends on your interests and time of year. I could easily spend two weeks vacation at Yellowstone NP, but then I'm into nature. The Smithsonian Museum in Washington DC is great, but then DC is known for crime. The problem as I see it, there are so many great places to go, it is hard to decide on just a couple.

as a strategies because of the fact the terrific time to bypass to the Grand Canyon---it relies upon on what variety of climate and socialization you want. I went to the Grand Canyon in December 1976. It replaced into dazzling, breath-taking incredibly. lots of snow on the floor & white-tailed deer very interior attain. there have been some vacationers, yet not many. The fragrance of the pinion pine burning at a motel replaced into dazzling! The solitude and quiet replaced into palpable. you are able to many times in hassle-free terms bypass to the South Rim today (because of the fact of snow)' on the different hand---in case you relish warm climate, then summer time could be terrific. the two South & North Rims could desire to be visited then.

there are so many wonderful places to vacation in the US. i am sure you can find many of them on-line. one of my favorite places to vacation are the north Carolina mountains. beautiful scenery, lots to do and very friendly people, especially around Cherokee, north Carolina. it is a resort area owned by the Cherokee Indians. there is a casino there if you are into that. they have an outdoor amphitheater with a fabulous onstage play called UNTO THESE HILLS. have seen this and it is really great. or you could go to Orlando and i am sure you know about the sights there. but cape canaveral is only 39 miles east of Orlando. plenty to see and do there. near the cape is cocoa beach and you know what fun that is. hope all this helps.

Mammoth Caves in Kentucky is pretty awesome. Gettysburg (PA) and Steamtown USA in Scranton (PA) are really cool. Check out National Parks - they are a really fun and inexpensive way to plan trips.
