I was a 25 in waist before I was prego... I am now 7 months with a 35 in waist. My sisters told me to kiss my waist goodbye. Is there anyone here that got back to their old shape after a c-section?

Of course it is possible. Your sister is just trying to bring you down because she hasn't had success. That doesn't mean that you will follow in her footsteps. I remember that before I had a baby everyone at work told me, "you are just small because you don't have kids, just wait until you have a baby and you will be big like the rest of us" I had my baby (via c-section) and I went back to visit everyone and show them my baby when she was a couple months old. I looked just the same as before I had her. I am 5'4 and I was 108 pounds before pregnancy and now I am 105 pounds.

Just realize if you are committed to it then you will most likely lose the weight . It may take a little more time than you want but it will happen. I was sick throughout my pregnancy so it was easier for me because I didn't have much to lose. My stomach was a bit swollen for a couple of months, but it went down after a time. Now no one would ever guess that I have a 11 month old unless they saw my scar.

Hi, I am smaller now that I was before I had my kids...
The scar is not prominant at all (8 years since last baby) and I have full feeling in the area now too... When standing up I can see that there is definate line where I had my section though. Its hidden in the knickerline, but as the stomach muscles and stomach walls are cut, you can see that a small part of the tummy is 'further out' above the scar than below the scar (sounds gross... but its fine) My waist and hips are however much smaller (26 inch waist and 32 hips) than they were before my babies... maybe from chasing them all around!!

You can get small again, but remember your body will make scar tissue inside, and around the incision site, thats going to add a little to the tape measure.

Pregnancy causes your abdominal muscles to pull apart and separate, after the baby is born those muscles shrink back, but you have to work them to get them to pull tight like they used to be. Its not that you're fat so much as your intestines are able to push against the weakened muscles and make you seem bigger than you really are.

You can do sit ups until you're blue in the face, but some pilates are probably going to help better. What you want is to pull your belly button in and flex hard, and do reverse crunches, anything thats going to cause those lower abs to pull back together.

Remember too that you get hips after pregnancy, the actual shape of your body and bones changes. So you have a new body, not the one you have before. You dont want THAT body back, you jsut want this one to look its best. And trust me, c section or not it will.

Pretty close...but I will always have that little bit of a belly from the scar...I am also older...was 38 when I had my last baby but I work out a lot and watch what I eat and weigh close to my high school weight of 125...I just don't have a nice flat belly anymore, If you are younger than me you will probably have better luck getting back into shape! Believe me...having children is worth it, I would not trade my little girls for ANYTHING!!

When I had my first son before I was pregnant I weighed 100 lbs, when I had him I was 155 lbs, had a c-sec and was back to normal within a month. I mean I did get a size bigger because of my hips, but nothing major. Don't worry, you'll be fine. You might be back to 26 inches instead of 25! Good luck with your baby!!!congrats!

Yes, but it requires alot of exercising. Work out eat right and make sure to to pay extra attention to the lower belly. Those muscles are weakened after a c-section.

your stomach muscles will be weaker after pregnancy for a while from the incision so in time you may have to exercise the abdominal muscles to regain their form, but the stretching of the stomach is normal and should with help in the form of exercise go back to normal.

You are 7 months pregnant or Post Partum?

You can get your figure back, but you are going to have to move move move.
And if you are post partum, it can take a year before you get your abdominal strength back, so take that real easy.
