Can you absolutely be sure that "winning" in Iraq means an end to terrorism ? If the government can say yes to that question then more people will support the war but for now winning in Iraq means only that- winning in Iraq. What about the terrorist in other parts of the world. Do war supporters actually believe every terrorist in the world is in Iraq ?

Problem is that Liberals think this is a unnecessary war to begin with .They are doing what ever they can to prevent US from Winning . They do not understand the consequences of losing . It's not a matter of needing there help . What matters most is that they stop fighting against America. Americas only real chance for survival is to not only defeat Terrorism but we must defeat Liberal Democrats as well !

We would have a better chance if the Democrats would keep their hands out of the cookie jar and let our troops have the supplies they need.
It seems like the Democrats think they’re in a popularity contest of who knows the most celebrities, but we are winning this war despite all the Democrats Hollywood distractions.

You are overreaching .
There has to be a political victory to keep the peace in Iraq and until we work toward that end there will be no winning till everyone participates in it !!!!!!

The war is not for the USA to win. It is up to the Iraqi Parliament to step up and assume responsibility

we can and we are.. but, i think we can all agree that things would've been much better and smoother if the Libs would stop living in their little box and support what the administration is trying to accomplish.

edmund edmund... tsk tsk.. that logic is just plain ignorant... if we follow your logic then if we support fighting crime here at home then we need to join the police force... or if we are against wildfires.. then we need to be a fireman... if we support helping the homeless then we need to volunteer at the local shelter... see how stupid that logic is? we have a VOLUNTEER army... so that everyone doesn't have to fight in combat. they are paid to do what they do. so are firemen and policemen. let them do their jobs. and that's exactly what they're doing... and they're doing an exceptional job, regardless of what you hear in the mass media outlets.

and apparently there's more that feel the same way you do edmund... sad. this is what i'm talking about.. living in a box. when you do that, you limit your facts. if there are any... and like a gentleman a few posts below me said... you take away the emotional and irrational in most of these comments i've seen on here against this war... then you're not left with much. no facts. none of it is based on truthful facts. part of the truth is not truth at all.

I believe we are winning the war to establish a democratic government in the middle east. We are doing it without the help of the lib-dems in our government. having said that, a nation divided against itself can not stand and the more the politicians try and divide the people on issues, the more difficult it becomes to try and solve these issues. Beware of the role the mainstream media plays in this denigration of the American ideal, of democracy, of freedom and capitalism. The dems and libs have bought into it, I hope the tide stems somewhow and these people are brought to their senses and realize who the real enemhy is and what really is at stake here. if you read what they (libs) have to say, 99 percent of the time if you remove the emotional attack words you are left with not much substance. it's unfortunate that dialogue has been demeaned as it has. I hope we all can get together against a common goal before we are fighting the enemy in our own front yards.

You were doing a great job prior to the Dems taking over Congress.

Please define win. I keep hearing people talk about winning in Iraq but no one seems to offer any definition of win. How will we know we have won? We were told the mission was accomplished years ago. We were told that Al Qaeda was in its last throes, yet they are stronger now than they were in 2001. Once you define win for us maybe we can better answer your question.
