If the picture is part of a flash animation then you can't save it directly. however you caould take a screen capture of it and save that as a picture. use a program like IrFanView and then crop it to the size you would like.

If you're looking at a picture that is being projected from a flash application/site, you can't save it, at least not to the best of my knowledge.
If you desperately want the picture, use the Print Screen button (sometimes labeled Prt Sc) while you are on the page, then paste it into an image program like paint, and crop the picture you want.

while on the webpage, press Ctrl + Print Screen on your keyboard. This captures a screenshot of the webpage. Next go into Word or an image application (like photoshop) and open a new window and hit Ctrl + Paste. This will save your image.
now you've captured the image and can edit it at will.

You could press "print screen" on your keyboard (sometimes abbriviated as "PrtSc" - this will copy an image of your entire screen onto the clipboard.
Then opne up an image program. Microsoft paint will do the job, just select, Edit > Paste and then select the portion of your screen (the image) that you want to save.

you should be able to right click the image and save to desktop. if that doesn't work- you can download adobe for free. It will not be the full version- but, it will be enough for what you want.
