I ridicule them - but generally that kind of behavior just goes over their heads. So, I'm with your mom on this - kill 'em with kindness.

I agree with you, your mother probably always did say that but there is just one answer for this kind of situation. You have to attack. Punch them in the nose, that will get them off balance for a second and then you have to start throwing a barrage of attacks to their face to keep their mind off track. The key to the first attack is to get them out of their own heads. If you've ever been punched in the face you will know what I'm talking about. Once they fall down from the attacks you have two choices leave or continue the beating. That is how you deal with Meanies.

I'm bad about getting in their face. I won't start a physical fight with them, but I'll take whatever ignorance they have and abuse it the same way they throw around their weight. I've had friends have me compose emails to other people when they really want to trash someone. I'm not saying it's a good trait, but I can make someone feel like crap if I try.

yes i am very kind to them!!but if they continue to be mean,then i start cursing and telling them off!!and THAT usually stops everything!cause mean people are most likely cowards!

I'm polite to them. If they continue I explain their actions are childish then ignore them.
