I live in Australia, and yes we do celebrate Christmas on the same date as everyone else. Some people go for the whole "traditional hot turkey/ham/chicken" meal, with all the usual trimmings. But since the weather is usually very hot, many people have picnics on the beach, seafood salads, just anything that comes into the "festive" category. Christmas is whatever you want it to be. And, by the way, Santa Claus does also "come down the chimney", although few houses here have chimneys.

New Zealand and Australia have summer when it's Christmas. Actually the entire southern hemisphere has opposite seasons from the northern, so December 25th is in the middle of summer weather for them.
You should also realize that Christmas is a Christian/European/western culture holiday and approximately two thirds of the world's population (around 4 billion people) don't celebrate it.

Christmas was made a Christian holiday by the council of nicea, this council also formed the Catholic church on that day, and recognized Easter. Dec 25 was picked by the catholic church in according to the winter soltices.
Not all countries keep that day. For a few examples.
Although Mexico and South America are mostly Catholic. They start on December 12th with the gift giving on Jan 6th (called kings day).
Venezuela is also Jan 6th
Hungary Santa Clause comes out on Dec 6ths with Presents. The presents you get on the 25 are from Jesus.
Germany and the Netherlands Celebrate St Nicholas day (resembling western Christmas) on Dec 6th
Belgium also celebrates Dec 5 (eve), with Dec 6th gift giving. Some go to church on the 25th but its not a holiday.
Spain is Jan 5th (eve) Jan 6th presents
Most countries keep the same time of year but gift giving and when you get gives and which days are most important vary over a month period of time.
Plus you must realize most of the world doesnt even keep christmas. To your other question snow/weather has nothing to do with christmas. Of the 300 bishops that were invited to the Council of Nicea, most likely, few of them had ever seen snow. They made this decision in Turkey of all places. I dont think they get alot of snow there. Other then the mountains.

All cretures great and small celebrate Christmas around the world on the same date of December 25th.
People around the world North of the Equator suffer thru summer at the same time while those South of the equator are going thru their respective Winter season.
This ws a lesson in Geography as it was taught too me "way back in the old days" in elementary school.

The southern hemisphere of the earth has seasons opposite the northern hemisphere. Dates do not change and holidays to not change. Christmas is Dec 25 which is the winter in the U.S. and the summer in Australia.
If you live right on the equator then there are no seasons as we know them.

You sound like your in the top half of the American map above the equator.
Summer at Christmas is for all the countries south of the equator. They do have Christmas in summer and also have large Christmas dinners depending on the weather. If it is too hot they would have their Christmas meal at night time.

Christmas as set by the Christian faiths is on December 25th. This holds true for every Christian religion on earth. The half of the planet that lies below the Equator has its seasons in direct opposite of the half that lies above the Equator. When it is winter in the northern hemisphere it is summer in the southern hemisphere and so on.

whilst Muslims bypass a merrily trolling they use the comparable drained previous stereotypes of Westerners, Christians, Jews, Hindus, gays and atheists. It does not seem to rely what area of the worldwide they arrive from, they tutor a suggestions-blowing lack of expertise of each little thing non-Muslim. it incredibly is as though they're all interpreting from the comparable propoganda script. Nevermind, I forgot, they're interpreting from the comparable propoganda script. Have an somewhat merry Trolling Day! Cheers!

Christmas is December 25, even tho that is summer in Australia and NZ. It is always on that date. Doesn't matter if there's snow or steamy heat, it's still Christmas on Dec 25.
