In your opinion, is it an asset to have an opinion, or is it better to just shut up and look pretty?

If a woman truly doesn't have any opinions, then I won't be able to spend time with her. I personally need someone who stimulates me intellectually as well as physically, etc..
Basically, however you decide to be, there will be men out there who find you attractive. You get to decide what you are. That will in large part determine which type of man is attracted to you.
Myself, I respect anyone--male or female--who thinks and holds well considered opinions. I'm straight, so when it comes to realationships, I go for women. An inquisitive mind is important. IQ isn't the issue, though. It's the characteristic of being curious about this world, and taking the time to find facts and formulate opinions.
Is intelligence attractive? Hell yes!

I believe so. I think men are attracted to women that have brains the same way that women are attracted to men that have brains. Don't ever think you need to just shut up and look pretty. Intelligence is hot. It shows a guy that a woman is well educated and can take care of herself. Some men don't like women that depend on them so much.

Depends. I'm going to be brutally honest here. Call me a pig if you want.
Short Term= Hell No. Smart girls have morals and know that being "loved" by a man doesn't equate their worth. When I'm looking for a jumpoff I want to score. That means, A bit insecure, good looking, caring, but no commitment and or ideals that you will force on me.
Long Term=Yes. I could never marry a girl who I couldn't have an intelligent conversation with.

Hilary Clinton is very intelligent and average looking. I would imagine she frightens many, especially males and more "traditional" females.Often high intelligence is equated with both shrewishness and lesbianism. However, shutting up and looking pretty won't get her back into the White House. When a pretty woman's "shelf life" expires, she's simply discarded. Hilary intends to be in for the long haul. If she makes it, her success may inspire many other women to transcend their imposed limits.

Giving an opinion just because you have one doesn't make you attractive or less attractive. What makes you pleasant to be around, man or woman, is your delivery and timing. Sometimes opinions are completely inappropriate and sometimes the unspoken word is the one most accepted as intelligent.

If I was looking for a casual, short term "fling" then intelligence is not a consideration unless we actually were going to talk.
In the case of actually spending time together outside of sex, yes I consider intelligence very attractive.
Now that I've written this, I'll recant and say that intelligence, creativity, and being self aware of your likes and dislikes is good in all situations.

Yes intelligent women are consider attractive there is no difference between a smart woman and any other type of women...
Some men even prefer intelligent women

One statement. Everybody gets Ugly, then what do you do for the last 30 years of your marriage.
Intelligence is way up there on my list. I hate dating girls that dont talk, or their only opinion is my opinion. I like to date girls smarter then me, fortunately thats not to difficult to find.
Clearly there has to be a physical attraction, but intelligence can be very attractive as well.
Just my opinion.

You should read Freakanomics. There is a section where a study was done using the records of online personal date profiles and the responses. I believe it showed that the more educated a woman was, the less responses she got.
Now the QUALITY of responses a woman gets is what's important to me, and I'd rather have the one man who loves my intelligence as part of my overall package, than a hundred men who love me only for my body and are glad I'm too stupid to figure out what losers they are.

i think beauty with brains is the way to go. For example , in the international pageants , all the winners we have had up to date are intelligent as well as beautiful . During the question rounds the way they have an answer ready which emerges them as a winner is a proof of their intelligence . =) SO , being pretty and brainy BOTH are important .
