Try as Toshiba for low price with a lot of features.
Don't only look in Best Buy. Look in the Sunday papers for who has them on sale (Circuit City, Staples, Office Depot, etc). Also look on the web for places like Microcenter.

Well I got my laptop from Best Buy and like it's a Gateway, it's fast, it's easy to use, it has ALOT of space so you don't have to worry 'bout that. It's only around $600-$700. So basically, it's cheap and easy. Even though it's not a high-class brand, like HP and Sony, but it's kind of like a imitation of them. xD But in my opinion, I recommend it! :D Go to their website if your not sure and want more choices.

Dealnews has laptops posted that are good deals. Might not help you narrow down which one you'd like, but might help.
