Are you still a virgin? Sex is a natural human act.
Why are you so concerned about someone else's sex life?
I only advocate casual sex if I am having it. Mind you safe casual sex.
No one does not have to have sex, but it is a natural human act.

I don't know that I would go so far as to say that any particular political party advocates potentially detrimental behavior. Rather, I think that everyone is trying to find the best way to keep people safe. Abstinence is, obviously, the most effective way to prevent disease and unplanned pregnancy. However, it's not a lesson that can stand on it's own anymore because we no longer have shame in our society. You won't be ostracized if you have a child out of wedlock at the age of 14. We don't look to religion for answers as we once did. Without shame and without some sort of deeply felt moral impediment, there's no reason to wait for marriage or even wait for better circumstances. As such, it's important to teach young people how to protect themselves and I don't think it's fair to classify that as "promoting" casual relations.

Not everyone will die from not having sex, however men have a higher rate of testicular cancer if they do not have regular ejaculations. Also a lack of sex can cause a womand hormones to go overboard and cause mental break downs. Sex is healthy. You should read into the benifits of sex as well as what the consequences are before you ask a question like this. You have every right to post your feelings, but not knowing all the facts makes you look ignorant. I agree with you by the way that contraseptives are very important and STDs and teen pregnancy is a huge issue in this country. However, there are reasons why sex is important besides how it feels. Good luck.

Oh, for the love of god, you need to lighten up!
Life is TOO SHORT to carry around the belief that sex is evil and wrong- it is a natural function, and a pleasurable one at that! No I won't die without it, but I just can't see the point in denying myself.
We should be educating kids about contraception and safe sex, NOT abstincence. First, because we shouldn't be teaching them shame and guilt about this natural and enjoyable experience, but also because it just plain doesn't work!! America is the only country who go around promoting abstinence and it has the highest teen pregnancy rates in the world. Countries in Europe, for example, who are more open and less judgemental about sex and nudity and everything that goes with it have the lowest.
Maybe if conservatives got laid every once and a while they wouldn't be so frigging uptight.

The prevention of STDs and the prevention of unwanted pregnancies are the outcome of better sex education, which includes responsible behavior.
Other developed countries have much lower rates, for instance, of teen pregnancy, abortion, and STDs because they engage in more extensive sex education and availability of contraception.
They’re no more “moral” than we are and they don’t engage in abstinence but they have much better results.

I will die anyway at some point
sex is a serious thing, it should not be casual, relaxed, fun, etc, yeah, its something to enjoy yet also something ot be respected and thought about and make sure you don't get or pass diseases or mess anyone up or unwanted pregnancies
its worth doing it right, always
abstinence is unrealistic in 2007, maybe very old people can manage abstinence, even old hippies would have trouble with that I think, 60 year olds can't even do that nowdays

You're going to get a lot of ridicule over this one.
You're right, you don't have to have sex - - but obviously enough people have to to continue to propagate the species.
Look, sex is always a risk but you need to quantify those - - if you pick up some skank in a bar, there's a risk of STDs. If you meet someone at work or through an activity, that sort of thing, and she doesn't spend every weekend clubbing, there's a much lower risk.
I used to do work with Haitian refugees - way back before we put Aristide in power. I did legal work for them and I hooked up with the woman who was coordinating some of the programs for them. We got back to my place and we were talking, while moving along, and she says "that's really big - for a white guy" - - and I say, "what do you mean for a white guy" and she says she's done it with one of the Haitians! Well, I ended the whole thing right there.
See, doing it with her would have been a huge, huge risk.
Now, you ALWAYS assume the risk of STDs when you have sex, it's not Bush's fault - - - well, it might be bush's fault but it's not Bush's fault - - - if you get STDs including AIDS.
But practically speaking you CAN have a reasonable sex life and still have a very low risk of getting STDs.
Seriously, I went to Holy Cross but the girls who had herpes, those were the ones who had done it with the entire hockey team.

Medical studies have determined that it shortens ones life span by approximately 20 years .
Thats for people that have reported no sexual release at all . This includes masturbation and intercourse as having not been engaged in during ones life time .
This study was done with monks and priests in religions that require no sexual partners or masturbation .

I hope not. I'm going on 6 months without it, and I haven't died yet. Only 1 more month and my hubby will be home form Iraq! I'm counting it down!
I do agree, if you can't take care of a baby, then don't have unprotected sex. If you are not ready, financially or otherwise, you need to take every step to protect yourself form becoming pregnant.

So tell me, do you ONLY have sex for procreation? GET REAL!
Humans being what they are, we can't rely on abstinance as the only form of birth control we teach our youngsters. I just don't understand why teaching kids about being safe is so bad. It will hopefully help prevent abortions from happening, will help lessen the numbers of pregnant teens, will help prevent STD's. These are all good things. We are not sending them out to have lots of casual sex, but arming them with the info they need to protect themselves if they do decide to.

Abstinence is good but it doesn't work. Well, it works, but it is easy to tell kids not to have sex but hard to get them not to. Really, just look around and see that all the good intentions in the world do not prevent STDs and HIV.
