Yes. That will be admissible in court, provided they located the contraband in a place specified in the warrant where a document *could* have been hidden.

Yes. If the police have a legal right to be somewhere, in this case a search warrant of your property; and they find any contraband, you can be arrested and charged with possession with it.

Search warrants can be tricky. But if the warrant says "bank statements" and the officer walks into your room and finds 30 pot plants, you are screwed.

Here is the thing though. Warrants don't not allow officers to go fishing. If they are looking for big screen tvs that were stolen, then the officers don't have a legal right to go through your drawers or any small hiding places, because a big screen could not be reasonably hidden there.. If an officer does and finds a bag of cocaine, then the coke would probably be tossed in court.

The FBI and the police usually have cause to want to search a property. If you have incriminating documents of any kind or contraband items such as illigal drugs, of course you will be arrested. Otherwise you should have no fear at all.

By the way suppose during a search of your property, they find a large stack of dollar bills. That in itself is cause for suspecious activity.

Sticky question. If the contraband was out in the open when they entered, they may be able to charge you for it. Otherwise, the warrant should stipulate what they are looking for and be limited to those items. Warrant should also state what areas are covered by the warrant. (garage, sheds, vehicles etc)

You definitely need a good lawyer.

The bad news is that the police can be very aggressive and overstep their bounds. Often they think that they have the right to do so because they get away with that very often.

The good news is that a good defense attorney will generally win your case in court in these types of circumstances, especially if you insist on a jury trial.

I recommend that you contact a good defense attorney today, this hour!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It depends on how specifically the warrant was worded. If you're in this much trouble already, you definitely need a lawyer!
