I read some of the answers and found that these western people do not know a thing about any culture except their's which is nothing compared to INDIAN CULTURE. Remeber the caste system may have come now in a bad light but it was created to divide work among people. The Brahmins did not rule and said that they were supreme. They were merely preists and were required to perform relegious activities. The kshatriya and rajputs were the ruling and the warior class. The vaishyas were the traders and craftsmen. The shudras were labourers. Indians taught the world how to count. They were a refined civilization when the whole of europe was roaming around naked in forests hunting animals. The Indian culture is as old as the race of man. It's study can heal a person spiritualy and mentally. The culture is incomparable and those who think otherwise are too narrowminded. They have no sense of beauty.

England

Positive -

1. Education is a high priority
2. Welfare state (free health care for all)
3. Inclusive (although perhaps overly sensitive and too concerned with political correctness at times)
4. Strong (stiff upper lip and all that)
5. Freedom of expression ('I disapprove of what you say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it')

Negative -

1. Conservative with both a large and a small 'c'. (I live in middle England, people here are not always as accepting or generous as they might be)
2. Alcoholic (most of our socialising revolves around the pub)
3. Increasing generation gap (young people have trouble identifying with their elders and vice versa)
4. Complaining (especially about the weather)
5. Depressed / stressed (over worked, high expectations / materialistic values / lack of spirituality)
