This would be known as civil disobedience and, while you are within your rights to practice it, you must also be prepared for the natural consequences of your choice.

When you say the leisure industry, I assume you mean alcohol and are implying that it's more harmful than say cannabis.

If alcohol was to be discovered today, it would almost certainly be classed as an illegal drug. It's only the fact that it is traditional and that anyone can easily brew it at home that keeps it legal. Look at the fiasco of prohibition in America.

Pesonally, I'm in favour of the legalisation of a not too strong form of cannabis, but until that happens you would be breaking the law.

You knowingly choose to break the law... You should be prepared to face the consequences when you get caught. Otherwise, convince a majority of people that the substance in question should be legal

Why would it be "reasonable in law" for someone to violate the law? Some States have made Marijuana legal for medical purposes. The Federal Government does not agree and if you get caught by them, you will go to jail. Is that "reasonable in law"?

Not at all.
The supplements that are legally on sale are rigorously tested and not harmful; you don't know what is in the illegal ones. Better safe than sorry, both in health and legal terms.

Not at all, you appear to want to obey only those laws that suite you. If you do and get caught you can't complain.
