I have recently brought a coffee molly; Female. She is pregnant and heavily pregnant at that. I've kept her in a breading net since she got home. But she's not eating much at all... I'm honestly not sure if she's eaten anything today, I know she's pecked at yesterday's food but ??? Dose this mean she's really close to dropping or is somehting wrong with her.

It sounds like she is short before giving birth, that's absolutely normal behavior for a female short before birth

Don't give her any food until she has dropped her fry

Turn up the heat to about 82 degrees, that makes birth a bit easier on her as well

Also leave the light on for 10-12 hours during the day and turn it off at nigth for 12-14 hours, that's a general rule

Hope that helps
Good luck

If she is not eating it is usally a sign that she sould be giving birth very soon posibly within the next hour so watch and monitor her, very soon you should have little fry...

I suggest leaving the light on during the day and turn it off at night they will give birth in eather light or dark!

Good luck hope everything goes well!

If she is not eating it is usally a sign that she sould be giving birth very soon if you want to keep the fry alive, you need some very dense grass in bottom of tank, since mom is carnivorous.

Your molly isn't eating because it is a birthng hormone. It means your molly should be birthing soon.

Good Luck
