Baby names - what do you think?

Question

Hi there, me and my hubby have been thinking of baby names for our new baby to be, we haven't been agreeing on eachothers choices so i thought i'd ask your opinion :-)

My choices are...
GIRL: Kayla, Kiera, Emily, Courtney
BOY: Laker, Logan, Liam, Mason

My husbands choices are...
GIRL: Scarlett, Sophia, Isabella
BOY: Riley

What do you think or do you have any other suggestions
p.s I am from the UK and so The LA Lakers are not a problem for my boys name Laker!!!!

Our sir name is Horth
I'd also like them to go with our other childrens names Holly, Zac and Jasmin

oh i forgot to mention my husbands ex was called Sophie, my hubby doesn't think this should be an issue with his name choice sophia but i think it's a bit off but it was such a long time ago (i think about 10 years ago) so i am most probably over-reacting!!! =)

i LOVE the name Laker its sooooo cute!!!!

I like all your girls names ecept for Courtney, it's too common, the nicest out of the girls names are Emily from your list and Scarlett from your husbands list!

so maybe Emily - Scarlett or Scarlett - Emily

for boys like i said Laker is def the best!!!
out of the others Logan is lovely and i do like Riley

so Logan-Riley or Riley-Logan

Laker-Riley Laker-Mason

dont like sophia, especially if his ex was called sophie, sophia (sorry if this is mean) reminds me of a fat french maid!!!

i prefer isabelle rather than isabella

Kiera and kayla are sweet especially for twins =)

dont like Liam btw!!!

I don't like Kayla or Courtney but I love Kiera and Emily. I hate Scarlett and I am tired of Sophia and Isabella though Izzy is a cute nick name. I like Kiersley for a girl. Kiersley Horth. But of the ones you have picked I like Emily the best. Emily Horth. Emily Melinda Horth. For boys I LOVE Laker! My choice is Laker. Laker Horth is adorable and it will grow up well.

I like Kiera and Isabella for girls. I hate Kayla, Emily and Courtney, they are way over used. Scarlett sounds like an elderly person. I like Sophia, but it is too close to my dogs name (Sophie) so I couldn't name my child that. The boys names I like are Logan and Mason. Riley could be used as a boy or girls name. Good luck!!

The only names I dont think go with your other kids' names are Scarlett and Laker. Other than that they all go well.

My personal favorites are Logan and Emily or Isabella.

I think its important for the parents to decide on the name together. Maybe if you let your husband pick the middle name, then you can pick the first name or vice versa. Would he be willing to settle for that?

Emily and Riley are the only ones I think are any good. I wouldn't call my kids by any of the other names. If you go with those two though it means that you both have a chance of your name being used depending on whether it is a girl or a boy. Your husbands girls names sound old fashioned to me and are the names of some of my friends Mums. Your boys names sound like they are taken from comic characters or pop stars. Logan (Wolverine from X men), Liam (pretty obvious).

OK, I think that if your hubby's ex was called Sophie, you have every right to not like Sophia, but I think....

are all nice and I think they all sound pretty good with your other children's names.

Kiera and Emily are nice, as is Scarlett and Sophia. Courtney and Kayla are a bit chavy, and Courtney reminds me of Courtney Love, who is very weird and odd looking!
Logan and Liam are good, Laker, Mason and Riley are a bit American in my opinion.
I'd have to say Sophia is my fave, followed Kiera. Liam for a boy.

They're all nice names. Maybe you could mix it up i.e. for a girl Kayla Isabella or for a boy Liam Riley.... I personally really like yours and your boyfriends choices for girls names as well as Liam, Mason and Riley for boys... Not really so keen on Laker or Logan

Awww I like them all.
Maybe you can try what the other person said. The names Courtney and Isabella are nice, so maybe try Courtney- Isabel [I shortened that down] Horth?
Or maybe have the Isabella as her middle name.
That's if it's a girl of course!

I'm going with your husband on the boys name. I quite like the name Riley and I think it will go better with your surname. Riley Horth. Whereas something like Logan Horth...just sounds..harsh? If that makes sense.
