It is the best black and white movie I have ever seen. It was weird how they could make such a good movie based purely on dialogue where 98% of the movie took place in one small room.
I just hope I have guys like that if I'm ever on trial.

It's a great movie, but not very realistic, I'm afraid. Many studies on jury behavior have demonstrated that a lone holdout during jury deliberations has very little sway over the remaining jurors. The likelihood of one getting all the other 11 to change their minds is minute.

actually there are 2 versions of the movie 12 angry men. in my opinion you must watch the 50's or 60's version. it was amazing. it definetly shows the differences in each of us from the other. our beliefs oour feelings and our integraty. the fact that one person allowed his prejudice to infect his ruling. another only wanted to say guilty so he could go to a baseball game.
i would be glad to be on a jury. hopefully the reason there r 12 men or women on a jury is so there are differences in opinion. if only to make the other people think for there reasons and actually test other peoples integraty.
i hope this made sense

It's a fantastic film but I don't think it has much to do with trials by jury in reality. The film did not make me apprehesive of trial by jury at all.

I watched it as well. It was one of the most popular count films in our time. Obviously things aren't always what they appear to be. It taught us to think deeper, look for loopholes, and not take things for what they are =)
