I find it repugnant, a trough.

Yes I find buffets very disgusting. The food is not the right temperature usually, lots of people handling the same utensils that you are ( and you never know if their hands are clean or not), people sneeze and cough over the food, hair can get in it, and not just one or two peoples hair. You never know how fresh the food is, unless you watch them put it out.
I NEVER eat buffets!!

Why? I really dont find anything repugnant about it. Though it does skeeve me that the food i took from the bin has been at the mercy of tons of dirty hands and sneezes and coughs.

I do for sure! I LOVE the idea of them, because i can never decide on what to order, but i think the foods not that great, and theres always gross people who go there.

but $.99 was all that I could stand.

ugh! I hate them! If you really think about it how long has that food been sitting there? and when its cold do you think they really through it away...no! they go into the back stick it in the oven until its warm and brings it back out! and that food has so many calories and perservatives it makes me sick to my stomach!

there great when your out for lunch and the kids are starving. personally though i prefer to sit down to a waitered table.
