My rose is my mother ..she died many years ago, but she was so beautiful and in many ways inspiring..her thorn was her alcoholism ( which led to her death at such a young age)...I have tried to take my memories from her beautiful side though..however, the thorns still hurt sometimes....thanks for the question...

My rose is my husband Sam. By the way, he's brought home so many roses for me that I've lost count. He is such a wonderful man.
His thorn (mostly, it's a good thorn) is that he always works--he puts in lots of hours at work, then he comes home and starts doing dishes, working on various projects.
He tries to make time for me, but when I'm ready to talk, right before bedtime, his head hits the pillow and he's out. I've never seen anyone fall asleep SO FAST.

My friend John is my rose. John is a rose because he tries to make life better for me. He loves me, when I don't love myself. He is faithful and good, and I plan of spending the rest of my life with him.
He is a thorn because he always puts what he wants first. It does not matter if he made a promise, if something better comes along, he will go for it. He is someone you cannot count on in time of need. Yet when he does come through, he does it in a way that makes you fall in love all over again.

My rose is my mommy. Because through it all she never fails to love me, always had. Even if she went about it the wrong way, or sometimes made me doubt it.
Her thorn is being so narrowminded and a bit selfish when it comes to things regarding herself. It is a big thorn but then again, it makes her, her. And she wouldn't be Little Miss Attitude if it wasn't for that hahaha.

My rose would have to be my ex. His thorn would have to be that he had no idea where I was coming from.
