This one is really pretty simple. We have laws in place and all we need to do is fund and enforce. There is the issue of certain cities publicly stating they are sanctuaries and I believe the government needs to address that through funding or in this instance de-funding these places until they comply with existing law.

Enforce the laws that are already in place. If that means hiring more agents then do so - use the money that would be saved on welfare and aid programs when you cut off ILLEGAL immigrants from the benefits. Fine employers who are hiring and recruiting ILLEGAL workers. Do away with sanctuary cities. If a ILLEGAL immigrant is found arrest them, finger print them and deport them. Also by changing the law about being a citizen if born on American soil - I have seen first hand a number of individuals who illegally came to the US just before they had their baby. One parent should have to be a legal resident for the child to be one.
I have no problem with immigration. If someone immigrates legally then I think all benefits should be available to them.

No free stuff. I really don't see a problem with their being here - - for the most part they're not taking jobs away from citizens, they're starting out at the bottom of the line. They have no skills and don't speak much English, how could they be taking skilled jobs???? And in fact the data says that they're taking the low-end jobs. Unemployment is at 4.6% at the peak of an interest rate cycle - there's no problem with jobs in this country.
But they don't pay taxes, so they shouldn't get free stuff. Yeah I know if their apartment house burns down the fireman has to rescue them but the costs are the benefits, the education, the emergency room care...
We SHOULD deport the ones in federal prisons - - 27% of prison inmates are illegals - - why not just deport them?
My main problem is that the Libs take the effect of large-scale immigration on poverty and income stats and use them to try to make it sound like people already here are moving down. When you dramatically increase the rate at which you import people at the bottom of the economic ladder, that drives up your poverty numbers and your count of uninsured, and it drags down the median family income.
For example, we do not have 45 million uninsured Americans. We have 25 million uninsured Americans and 20 million uninsured illegal immigrants.

By enforcing, and keep enforcing the current laws.
Then by making it mandatory that they have jobs (no welfare) pay taxes, back pay taxes to the date they first arrived, have valid drivers license and car insurance, and speak English. Their Children must follow same guidelines as they apply, so that we are not spending more money to teach them in their own language.
They are not taking away "our" jobs, I have yet to see white people bent over a strawberry patch for 9 hours a day in the heat, or pulling fruit from trees. If they can advance up the corporate ladder, than more power to them, as there are some "white" people who should NOT be in the positions they are in.
I don't have a thing against anyone from any race, I do have a problem with the "rules, laws, and such" don't apply to them, they want to better their lives, so do we, they want more for their children so do we. But live as we doing, paying taxes, being a citizen, etc.

I'd like to be clever and give some brief answer, but there isn't one, there are many different circumstances out there, several that deserve special consideration. For the most part, I think they should all be fingerprinted, then deported. If they are found back in the US, they should be heavily fined, deported and told if they come back again, they will be imprisoned. Special cases might be, but not limited to, being a prospective kidney donor for someone who IS in the country legally, or other cases where there remaining in country is a great benefit for our society.
Also, make heavy fines for anyone who employs illegals so that it is no longer economically viable to employ them

If it was me in charge, I would make Mexico a part of the Untied States of America. Then change the name of the country to something like the North American Federation of States. That would boost the economy. Create hundreds of thousands of new jobs, provide better education for more people and allow us to sterilize all of the population of Mexico so that no more children will be born who will be left on the street to fend for themselves. In my opinion, that would be the best solution.

First, I'd enforce the laws that are already on our books.
Second, no social services for illegal immigrants. That includes public education, food stamps, and Medicaid.
Third, $250,000 fine for employers who do not check legal status if immigrants.
Fourth, increase funding for border security.

Deport every illegal. Go after every employer with fines and imprisonment. Drop legal immigration to 200,000 a year from only first world countries. Return to immigration law prior to the 1965 disastrous change.

Fines and prison for hiring illegals .
It is that simple . documents needed to work are a state issued Identification card and a social security card .
I knew someone that hired illegals and then he pocketed deductions from payroll checks . Because the workers never filed for tax returns or seemed to care about social security payments in the future . So the social security deduction , federal deduction state tax deduction and medicade fica deduction could amount to almost $125.00 an employee .
This is why they hire them . ten employees can make you an additional $60,000.00 a year profit .
So we need to fine and place bosses in prison for these actions .

i would enforce our existing laws. congress is good at passing laws but does not provide financing for enforcement methods.
if corporations would adhere to the law and punished it they didn't, if landlords would insists on proof of citizenship, then the illegals would not have jobs or shelter and would leave on their own accord or quit coming..it would cost the taxpayers nothing more than enforcing cost instead of the millions wasted on congress making more laws that won't be enforced.
if the 'anchor' baby law was used for it's true intent that 'slaves' were citizens, then this could not be used to have parents anchor themselves to kids they had here illegally.
one parent should be a legal citizen before children can receive automatic citizenship. cut all federal funds to cities that do not enforce our federal laws and claim to be sanctuary cites that aid and abet criminals.
it really isn't that complicated if one would just use logic.
