If you are able to get some type of glue into the crack, you could try a contact glue/cement. I would make sure that the packaging says you can use on food service items, first.

Try mixing up a little bit of epoxy and working it into the crack on the outside of the mug. Use acetone (nail polish remover) to clean up the excess epoxy from the outside of the mug immediately before it starts to set up.

Be careful using glues and adhesives. They can release toxins into the contents of the mug; especially hot drinks.

When you are dealing with items that contact food and/or drinks, it is better not to repair them.

Good Luck.

You could try super glue. It may need to be thrown out. :(
