which auto repair shop can be trusted , firestone , midas or any other which are all over the country

A lot depends on the owner/manager of the franchise. Many are adding unnecessary repairs to get more money. A mechanic friend of mine quit Firestone due to being forced to do this. I don't like Midas' advertisements for brakes where the disclaimer at the bottom of the screen states that "significant" charges may be added for extra parts and service on an already high price for brakes. You need to read and understand the warranties also. Lifetime guarantees on mufflers do not include labor or clamps. Just the muffler. There are lesser known repair shops that are nationwide.

Any shop, no matter what name is on the sign, is as good as the individuals that work in it. You can't judge a book by its cover, only by experience.
