I am on the pill and decided to skip my period last because I returned to my university and haven't seen my boyfriend for 2 months. Instead of taking the sugar pills, I started the new pack. about 2 wks into the new pack i started to experience veeery veeery light bleeding. is this normal?? Its very light, almost like right before a young girl begins to menstruate. I haven't forgotten to take the pilll AT ALL and i don't have any stds. WHAT IS THIS??? is it because i skipped my period last month by not taking the sugar pills?

Yes it is breakthrough bleeding and it is quite normal especially during the middle of your cycle.
I have a friend who continuosly takes the pill to avoid getting her period, I asked my dr about it and she said it was fine to do it.
I do it occassionally but feel that getting my period is cleansing in a weird way.
If you do it correctly and do not stop taking the pill at any point mid cycle you will be fine.

That's what can happen when you try to trick your period.
I did that once and never will again. It took forever to get my periods regulated once I did that.
Even taking the pills as prescribed you can still get pregnant.
If you are worried you are pregnant take a pregnancy test.
