Alot of people that I have spoke with said no because they say that woman are to soft and arent cold hearted enough to demolish a country if needed. I htink that she would make this a better living enviroment for everyone, I too do think that maybe she might not blow up a country if needed but she will be willing to negotiate <-- (i dont think i spelled that right) to make things right but then again woman get stronger and stronger everyday so maybe she will do what is needed to be done.

I think at this point, anyone could do a better job then the current president. Dont under estimate Hillary Clinton...she is a calculated individual and I believe- if she is put to task she would take care of this nation better then most of the 2008 candidates....Just because she is a woman doesnt mean she can be a good president-- Look at the issues and what each candiate stands for---not their gender.

Chauvenism is well and kicking I see. Really, I think it depends on the woman. I doubt someone that is really girly could do the job (none are seeking it) but you get a smart and tough woman like Hillary Clinton, Condie Rice or some of the other high ranking women in the US and, with advisers just like the men, they could do a fine job. Gender means nothing these days. If we were talking 75 or 100 years ago maybe the premise that a woman would not be able to handle the job of president would be valid but I don't believe that is true today.

A woman wouldn't be any better or any worse than a male president with the same qualifications. This is silly stereotyping. Women can be hard or soft, mean or nice, smart or dumb, or any number of things, just like men. Depends on the person.

Margaret Thatcher wasn't a softy.

I think a woman President would demolish a country within her first year in office just to show she can.

No, I think it would make no difference. Hillary has tried to make up for her lack of military experience by being on the armed services committee of the Senate and she is well versed in foreign-policy. In addition, she was an adviser to her husband who ordered several military actions during his administration. If you don't recall what they were, that's because they were short and successful.

like everything else, this would depend on the woman. in nature, the female of the species has to be the nurturer as well as the protector of the young so it is well known that the female can be very fierce in certain situations.

we have many examples of women in leadership positions throughout history and they have been subject to all the issues that their male counterparts face.

Male, female, African-American, or white I really don't think it will make a bit of difference. At this point in our country it almost feels like we have cookie-cutter politicians. One is very much like the other and still nothing gets done.

No one person, regardless of their gender, can reverse all the hate in this world between so many different groups and people. In order for this world to become more civilized everyone is going to have to try to be more civilized.

Oh jeez....this silly notions about what a woman will or will not do is totally silly. Hillary is a mean spirited, evil, lying, cheating vicious back biting, power hungry, cold hearted b*tch. I want no part of that kind of person leading my country. I don't care if it is a man or a woman.
