my webcam can record video but it wont play in windows media player?

check out which format its using to record?? avi? mpeg1-2-3-4???

probably you dont have codecs to run it.... if its format is avi you have to instal divx player...

its not the same format, either re format it to windows media. or find another media player. i reccomend quicktime. it is possible that the webcam will only play on its own software, so install the disc it came with, or go on the webcams website and download it.
