if we were born to be wild we would go around doing as our urges dictated, we wouldn't go around doing it for very long though as someone stronger or more organised who felt inclined to kill you would do so. Perhaps the longer lives that we enjoy as part of one , is why we prefer to live in societies - we have become conditioned over tens of thousands of years towards socialising, toward protecting one another and being friends to each other, there are very nasty exceptions to the rule but there are also rules to imprison the exceptions
i'd rather live in the 'paradise city' than have been 'born to be wild'

I was born to be wild when I was so much younger and loved that song...
I am over 50 now and in ill health and no longer dream of being wild...
That's what happens as you age...
