Even though you have been on the pill for a month, it normally take a month or more for the pill to start working. You just have to remember to take it around the same time everyday. And if you miss a day, then take the pill immediately! Because you were on your minstrel cycle, there is a very small percent that you may become pregnant. Just be careful and make sure that you use the bathroom after you are finished with intercourse.

Taking the pill an hour either way doesn't make any difference as long as you took it.
However, it takes 3 months before the pill it at it's fullest protection which at the best of times is only 98%.
Luckily the highest chance of getting pregnant is 10 days after your period when you ovulate, so although it is possible that your pregnant the odds are with you.
Your probably not pregnant but if you miss your period go get tested just to be safe, then if you are you have some decisions to make.
Good Luck!

It's really essential that you take the pill about the same time everyday. However, if it's only an hour, it's not a huge difference. But you need to be extra careful about taking it the same time everyday!!! Idk if you know this, but you're still protected during your withdrawal week. There is always a chance that you could be pregnant, but in your case it doesn't seem extremely likely. If I were you, I would tell someone or have an older friend get plan B for you to be better safe than sorry.

If you are pregnant it is too late to do much about it now. But more than likely you are fine. I know they stress that you take your pill at the same time every day, but I am not real good about it and I have never gotten pregnant. That is not to say that it will be the same for everyone, but I wouldn't stress about it too much. The fact that you had sex while on your period means you probably didn't get pregnant. It is the lest likely time to do so even if you aren't on the pill. Sit back and miss your honey. Don't stress about it too much. Hopefully he will be back home soon.

First of all, it's very rare that you would get pregnant while on your period whether or not you are on birth control pills. It can happen, but it is very rare. Second of all, if you are on the pill and took it every day, it's very rare that you would get pregnant. So I wouldn't worry about that. As far as what to do if you do end up pregnant, really your options are to have the baby or to abort it. But that's really putting the cart ahead of the horse.
You need to realize that taking the pill doesn't prevent you from contracting any STDs. It's not very smart to be having sex without a condom anyway.

"Are there any other ways to prevent me from pregnancy if I do get pregnant?"
Umm...If you get pregnant, you're beyond the preventing the pregnancy stage. You should have thought about that before you had sex.
If you were on your period when you had sex, there is a very slim chance that you would get pregnant. Your period is a way to dispose of the unused egg in your body, so most likely, the egg has already died.
Use a little more common sense next time.

You most likely are NOT pregnant! Taking the pill one hour earlier or later will not affect its effectiveness, if you completely miss pills altogether then you could possible get pregnant. If you havent missed any then I would say you are just fine.

If you are pregnant, it is too late. But most likely you are not. If you took the pills within a two hour time frame you should be protected.
