I would say earthquake would be the worst if its a bad one. then tornado because there really isn't that much time to go anywhere, like the basement or something. Then the last one is hurricane. If they are strong, the can destroy a lot of things but people normally know about them a long time ahead of time and have time to evacuate.

Earthquake.

I think they are all horrible natural disasters to experience, but with hurricanes and tornadoes, you usually have some kind of warning... And with a tornado, you have the basement you can retreat to.

As for earthquakes.. you definitely cannot go to your basement, as an earthquake is underground. You just have to hope that where you are, the roof or floors above will not collapse on top of you. Fires can break out because of them, you are basically vulnerable anywhere you are.

And as someone mentioned above, no warning, and the possibility of tsunamis... Also, floods due to levees/dams breaking.

Devastation wise...they all seem to be similar in severity. However. to me I'm unsure which would be more devastating on your pysche...is it not knowing when an earthquake will hit? Knowing a few minutes in advance of a tornado? Or knowing a week ahead of time of a hurricane's landfall?

Each can do damage physically but which does more damage emotionally?

Since I live in the mid-west I have to say tornado. There are no hurricanes or earthquakes here.

Which ever one you die in is my personal opinion. I have been fortunate enough to experience both a Hurricane and a tornado, but not an earthquake

Earthquake.

a hurricane probally. i mean just look at hurricane katrina. that happened like, wat? 2 years ago?? and there was something about it in the news today.

ppl can predict tornados and you can go in a basement for protection. it still does a lot of damage but ive never heard of one that was worse than hurricane katrina, or one that killed as many ppl.

earthquakes happen all the times without us even realizing it, big earthquakes rarely happen.

id put hurricanes as #1, then tornados, then earthquakes

i think of tornados are scariest yet i've got under no circumstances been close to a minimum of one yet i freak out everytime we've a twister warning/watch and that i've got purely expierenced a splash tiny earthquake like no harm in any respect. and the place i like we purely get the wind and rain from hurricanes.
