There are also people who contract AIDs from a blood transfusion because the hospital made a mistake in screening the donated blood for problems. There are many children born with the disease, passed on from the mother. There are many innocent victims.

When will a cure be found? We never know in advance. Scientists all over the world are working on curing AIDS. It might be many years, or we could be lucky and someone will make a breakthrough discovery. Many scientists spent ther entire lives trying to find cures to things like smallpox, polio, cancer, and diabetes. By comparison, we have only known about AIDs for a short time... Sometimes a new treatment or drug may look promising, but after testing we discover it doesn't work or is too dangerous. Something that gets rid of the disease but kills the patient too isn't the answer- but those discoveries increase our understanding of how things work and provide valuable information for future researchers.

Sadly there is no cure, I have personally lost family members from the horrible diesease, so this is pretty touchy for me still.

An HIV positive mother can give birth to a HIV free baby, it does happen. I would be little more concerned about all the babies and children dying in Africa due to the widespread AIDS, not just being harsh to a mother that passed HIV to her partner (sad, but it happens, and she might not have even known she had it).

Foolishness is horrible, but blaming these parents wont make AIDS and HIV go away. Donate money, do an AIDS walk, support her and her family though this time, do what you can, adopt a parentless child from AIDS, etc

When they find a cure, I'm sure children will get the same treatment as adults, only time will tell.

there working every day on a cure the only thing we can do is pray to god they find one soon. In africa this sounds very nasty. But the whores have found away to avoid getting aids they douche with some kinda of acid and it has kept them from catching aids. but they don't consider ti here because of the acid but I personally think the best thing that we can do is pray that they find a cure. Prayer is the strongest medicine out there they say but you have to have faith.

Honey, if we knew the answer to this question, I'm certain we wouldn't be answering questions on Y!A's. I know I'd be telling someone about my find. Sorry about the baby contracting HIV though; that's terrible.
