I still like their music but these days I listen to adult contemporay... you know, Maroon five, John Mayers, The Fray that sort of stuff... How about you? Do you still listen to the "old" stuff or has your music taste changed over the years?

i'm the offspring of a baby boomer, and all those "bands" kick azz, i listen to them quite frequently, as for mom, she still spins them on the record player, her vinyl collection is too die for. she's not much into the adult contempt. scene.

That's a pretty good list.
But I think I'd go with:

1. The Who
2. The Beatles
3. The Lovin' Spoonful
4. The Rolling Stones
5. Probably Jefferson Airplane, though maybe The Detroit Wheels.

In the mid-80s I realized that I was getting sick of rock and roll radio. Started looking elsewhere. Country and talk radio each lasted about 2 weeks. I settled on public radio. So now I listen to that classical stuff. Pretty good background music, but it means I've completely lost touch with modern music.

I liked Janis Joplin and thats about it in your list. I was more of a Motown girl. My musical taste always varied and I like all kinds of music from country, Elvis, ZZ Top, Stevie Ray Vaughn, bluegrass, old school rap, etc.

I suscribe to your list & yes, I still listen to them plus "new" ones, but I'm pretty picky when it comes to contemporary stuff.

Am just too tired to do what you wanted and supply my own list & order... the order changes anyway according to my mood.

Got to get some sleep,
good night
