How can someone 'disagree' with something that is? That is like saying you 'disagree' with oxygen. It's impossible.

Within the confines and boundries of the english language you can not disagree with homosexuality. You can disapprove, but you can't disagree.

You're right, it's sort of like arguing with a tree - the tree always wins!

It also reminds me of the school teachers who used to try to 'remove' left-handedness from children by 're-training' their hands. (re-training usually meant tying the left hand so the child couldn't use it).

At the heart of this denial of reality is a refusal to actually 'live Life on life's terms'.

I don't think anyone claims that no one has sex with people of the same sex. However, "homosexuality" in the sense of a natural tendency to want such encounters may or may not exist. Oxygen's only a construct, too--why do we think that the number of protons in an atom is the decisive factor in what a thing IS?

I have alaways wondered about that myself. That very saying drives me up the wall. " I don't agree with homosexuality", what does that even mean? Being gay is neither right nor wrong, it just is. No approval or disapproval necessary.

a star for you! I totally agree! I think it's just the typical close-minded thinking that also goes along with their inability to spell and use proper grammar....lack of education and common sense. and I highly doubt any of them have ever met or bothered to get to know anyone who is LGBT, either.

Consider the kind of person who would say that. Enough said.

Case in point - "Lawrence R," who compares homosexuality to rape and pedophilia - he just can't help himself!

There is a way around that. You can disagree with a gay person. They say something and you think that they are wrong at what they said so that is called disagreeing with a gay person. Like I disagree with them when they say they were born that way. I call that disagreement. You can disagree and disapprove with people with homosexuality.

It's easy if you don't understand its nature, if you only deal with the outward acts and behavior and not the inner drive.
