They all form compounds like H2S and Na2S. Also SO2 and Na2SO3. Also SO3 and Na2SO4. Sulfur forms ions like thiosulfate, S2O3=; dithionite, S2O4=. You would have to look up individual chalcogens to see what other oxyanions they form.

non metals are semi reactive. they share traits of metals and gases. Only the noble gases are completely non reactive.
