well in the inside you feel down because of course you want to be mentioned,it is the indication that somebody remembers you and somebody "likes" you,not being mentioned on the other hand can cause exaggerated feelings of worthlesness and insignificance,it can make you feel forgotten,alone and neglected,some people dont care because they care is for themselves and dont care what others think but on the other hand some people want to feel accepted by others which gives a great deal of satisfaction inside
