Can't believe it's not that far away....seems like I just took the tree down from LAST Christmas! Where is the time going these days?

For the first time in my life, last Christmas, we had an artificial tree (sick and tired of cleaning up the needles all over the house), and again, for the first time in my life, we wrapped the thing in plastic wrap, put the entire tree into storage still decorated....Christmases roll around so quickly anymore, I do not want to waste a day hanging lights and ornaments any longer...so this year, it will be pull the tree out, unwrap and la voila! Instant Christmas...talk about efficiency! Yea, I know...old codger! And as for the smell of a real tree, I have candles that do the same thing! Instead of a "trim a tree" party this year, I am going to do what, hopefully, no one else has ever done..."An unveiling " party...everyone stands around with a margarita in hand while we unwrap the tree instead of presents! Now this will be a different Christmas, won't it? :-)

Wow, Christmas already. I love Christmas. Especially Christmas dinner. My husbands family is huge, like 45 people. So we always take a ton of seafood. No one ever remembers who gave them what, but they always remember the meal:~) Last year we took over 200 Lobster and 20 lbs of jumbo shrimp plus some alligator. It was a hoot. Everyone had butter running down their arms and really pigged out. Thank God the house is big enough, cause everyone of the elders needed a nap then. All the young'ens played outside. Then we got up and started over again:~)
It's so hot outside, I'm looking forward to the change, even though the cold makes my bones ache

OK, I was thinking Christmas, if your number is a little off that's fine. I just signed up to make Christmas cookies at the Creative Cooking School on Dec. 15 . Talk about thinking ahead.
