The best thing to do is let your friend know that you are there for them, and BE there for them. Your friend will heal when he (or she) is ready.. but until then that person just needs support.

You tell them that you will be there for them
when they need a shoulder to cry on. Trust me evenings are the hardest. Why don't you see if you could do something with them or spend time with them doing what they want.

Let them know how sorry you are. And then offer to help them in anyway that you possibly can. Be there for them, (even at 3AM) give them a hug, hold them.

let them know your there for them ..a shoulder to cry on or listen if they need to talk as this is a hard period for anyone who loses a loved one.. everyone mourns differently with death...

life is a big challenge for everyone. we have to face it. so if u have lost someone then don't worry may be there will be someone who is made by god only for u.
