If your pediatrician says it's okay, use Tylenol Infant Drops. And the dose depends upon the baby's weight, so you will have to ask the pediatrician anyway. Please don't just do it on your own without consulting the pediatrician beforehand. As Mommies, it breaks our hearts to have our baby's cry, so we want to help them through it. Poor things; at two months they are getting, like FOUR injections at once. But the Tylenol beforehand may not be wise. Afterward, if baby feels warm or acts cranky, it may be helpful. Most baby's are very resilient and recover from the whole thing very quickly. Ask your doctor if it's okay before the shots, and/or how soon after the shots, and the correct dose for your baby. Good luck.

You would be giving a baby tylenol (the one that comes with a medicine dropper). Are you thinking about giving tylenol before teh first shot? If so, I wouldn't do it. Tylenol dosing is based on weight so unless you're pretty sure about your baby's weight, I wouldn't give it. Also, some babies do not even need it and is just fine. So just wait to get the shot, and the nurse should give you a dose sheet and maybe even give you a sample baby tylenol. If your baby won't settle down after you get home, then you can go ahead and give a dose.

they do no longer seem to be allowed Motrin till they are 6 months old. i could pass with the Tylenol individually. We did that for my daughters 2 month photos and she or he became into advantageous after. She became right into a splash drained yet that became into ok and all of us welcomed the little bit of extra sleep. Her 4 month photos have been worse. regardless of the Tylenol she stepped forward a 103 degree fever. yet fever is thoroughly time-honored after photos and you'll have Tylenol handy purely in case she does advance one. If she does you're able to be able to supply it to her each and every 4 hours till the fever is long gone.

You should call your doctor and ask. I've never given my kids tylenol before shots. It can mask a reaction, which I would want to know about so I can avoid that one in the future.

Infant tylenol....it is a liquid drop form.

Ibuprofen worked better for my son, but try tylenol first.

Jen is right.... there's no reason to give Tylenol...and you'd NEVER take that kind of advice from HERE!!!... your doctor is the only advice you ever take about medication for your child!!!!....

Myself i don't give it before her shot. I will give it to here after if she is crying for longer than 15 minutes because at that point you know she is in pain. It's called tympra and it states how much you should give ur baby by her weight..
It's flavour is cherry or banana so she'll/He'll like it
Good luck

_Before_ her shots?

None. Ask whoever gives the shots what you should give her if she has a fever afterwards (it may depend on how big she is). But chances are you won't need to anyway.
