Now that really creates a problem for us. If it is broke then they had better fix it and fast.
I would not want to get older faster than i already am. Slow it down is the better thing.
I don't believe that one yet. Time will tell.

Yes the speed of light" C "can be exceeded depending on the medium. It was proven in the laser-Caesium Experiment.

It is possible for certain processes to go faster than lgiht; we've kown about them for ages.
What you can't do, however, is send information faster than light.
They fired a laser into cold caesium. It caused the group velocity of the photons to exceed lightspeed. But this cannto carry information due to very complex physics.

They didn't.
Certain things can move faster than light, but that is not what people say is impossible. "Faster Than Light" refers to sending matter or information faster than light. For example, shadows can appear to move faster than light, but a shadow cannot transfer any information of any kind.
