Please no more mentions of Lasith Malinga 4 in 4 against South Africa, as people have noted, it was in two different overs.

Also sources if possible please, as I am trying to validate these answers myself.

Yes, this is " Lasith Malinga " of Sri Lanka managed Four wickets, contineously throughing Four ball.
It has only occurred once in international one-day cricket, in the 2007 World Cup.

When Sri Lanka's " Lasith Malinga ":
managed the feat against South Africa by dismissing:

1- Shaun Pollock,
2- Andrew Hall,
3- Jacques Kallis and
4- Makhaya Ntini,
So there are Four wickets on each ball by LASITH MALINGA of SRILANKA.
Regards

In test matches late Malcolm Marshall of West Indies took 4 wickets in a match against Pakistan in 1980 and venue was , if I am not mistaken, Lahore. In ODI's Chaminda Vaas and Lasith Malinga of Sri Lanka and Shaun Pollack of South Africa have achieved this feat. There may be another bowler or two but not in my knowledge.

I know only Vaas he did it against bangladesh in the 2003 world cup. Malinga didn't take the 4 wickets in the same over. 2 were taken in the last 2 balls of his 8th over and the next 2 were taken in the 1st 2 balls in his next over.

Harbhajan Singh pronunciation (help·info) (Punjabi: ਹਰਭਜਨ ਸਿੰਘ, born: 3 July 1980 in Jalandhar, Punjab, India) is an Indian cricketer and India's most successful off spin bowler.

Harbhajan made his Test and One-Day International (ODI) debuts in early 1998. His career was initially beset by investigations into the legality of his bowling action and disciplinary incidents that raised the ire of cricket authorities. However in 2001, with leading leg spinner Anil Kumble injured, Harbhajan's career was resuscitated after Indian captain Sourav Ganguly called for his inclusion in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy team. In that series victory over Australia, Harbhajan established himself as the team's leading spinner by taking 32 wickets and becoming the first Indian bowler to take a hat trick in Test cricket.
