find the sensor, if it has two wires going to it, short them out at the plug connected to it ( assuming it is a thermostatic switch)
or use a meeter to see what the stat is doing. you should be able to trace the wiring from the fan to the sensor.

Check around the radiator very carefully and you will find the sensor with two wires coming from it leading to the fan/fans.Unplug these and whilst ignition is on bridge the two wires together.Extreme caution is necessary while you do this as the fan or fans are very powerful and if you get hit by them you will sustain serious injury. If you replace the sensor make sure to refill the radiator with the recomended coolant

Yes. Simply dis-connect the fan motor wires from the wiring harness. It'll be very close the the electric fan. Run two small 14 gage wires directly from the battery to the connector that leads to the cooling fan. The fan may run in reverse in that case switch the wires in the coupler.

On most cars, if you leave everything connected and then unplug the sensor, and the fan starts to run, the sensor is bad.
If you can get a Haynes or Chilton manual, they will tell you if this will work or if not, what test to perform.
