Compaq Presario 500 DVD Driver Download?

My dvd drive unit has packed in but I am not sure it's to do with the mechanics of the actual unit. I seem to have lost the driver - so, my questions, where can I download a driver for this model. Have done Google searches but can't find one. But then I can be a lzay sod from time to time.... Cheers!

google it properly and you will find it but it really looks like you dvd as had it. go to device manager and check properties and the driver should be named even if you have lost it it will still be on your hard drive somewhere
