There is a salsa bar close to where I live (in Germany) and I want to know if you can dance to this music alone, or do you have to have a partner?

Ciao Breezer - I love to cut a rug and Salsa is one of my favorite. You can dance to Salsa music alone but not for long... someone will come to swing you around soon enough!

Normally, you dance salsa with a partner. Dancing salsa alone in a club would be taken as an invitation to dance with you, and it looks somewhat desperate. Now, if you're trying to learn it and you show up for a beginner class you usually don't need a partner. There will be a lot of people just like you who wants to learn and need a temporary partner.

You can dance to any Latin music alone, but more than likely if your looking hot someone will join in! Go for it, Salsa is so much fun!!

Yes, you can dance it alone you can even do some of the turns by yourself. I go to puerto rican & dominican bars and clubs and they'll dance alone to any of the music.
