Inspiration isn't always the answer. Discipline is. Most writers have "office hours". They write the same time every day - no matter what. I write the same hours 7 days a week. I call myself a literary vampire. I prefer writing at night 1 - 5 am is my office hours. I am a day napper. Don't need a ton of sleep. Durihng those hours, I write. Hemingway had a little building behind his house in Key West. He would have his butler lock him in there for certain hours every day and not let him out no matter what. Sometimes if he was having trouble working, he would ask to have this three legged cat he hated tossed in there with him. It made him want to work so he could get the heck out of there. Learn to discipline yourself. Discipline is very important in all arts. Dancers and musicians have to practice every day. Artists paint every day. You have to write every day. Pax- C

Well, first of all, you know that it has to make sense. But let me tell you how books are set up:

The beginning introduces the characters and the main problem. ( All stories are based around problems )

The middle is where the action starts getting more better.

Right at the end is the climax, where there's the most action happening ( like when the good people have to fight the main enemy )

And after that last action-packed scene, everything gets calm again and the problem is usually over ( unless it's a cliffhanger or suspense )

As for the Home Depot fighting book, you'll have to give a reason for the fight, like somebody stole something or whatever. But the problem would have to be something that could make a full book - like the man could be meeting up with an old enemy and he tells about back when they used to not get along. The rest is up to you ......

I would suggest taking basic English courses and once you've got a good grip on the English language move on to creative writing because it doesn't appear that you have that grip yet.

That sounds more like a short story, but you must write yourr ideas to see if the will connect with each other.
