In the last three weeks I have ordered two lots of books and one lot of CDs via the Internet. In each case I wanted one book, or one CD in particular but ordered a few more items that I thought might be of interest. The three lots of items have now arrived, minus the books and CD that I wanted the most - each one temporarily out of stock and to be posted later. The two books are by the same author and the CD features the voice of the same man - all Stephen Fry. The other books and CDs are from a variety of artists and authors. Coincidence, or is the universe sending me a message that Sephen Fry doesn't want anything to do with me?

James R -
This is spooky! "Moab is My Washpot" and "Paperweight" are the very books I ordered. The CD was "A Bear Called Paddington".

Stephen Fry is obviously far to highbrow to be associated with you in any way shape or form :-)
Unless you buy twinings herbal infusions of course.

I'm sure Stephen Fry doesn't wish to cause you any offence, perhaps he is just feeling a little withdrawn at the moment. Don't beat the man up because he wants a little space.

It would certainly seem to be the latter, that or Mr. Fry is personally not letting you get the wished books :)
On a related note, If you haven't already got them or you are getting them now, Fry's 'Paperweight' and 'Moab is My Washpot' (his autobiography) are the best ones I believe. (I have all of his books that I know of).

please don't take it personally. Stephen Fry is a very busy man, with a lot of things on his plate. Had he the time to spare, I'm sure he would come round IN PERSON for tea and biscuits.
Twinnings of course. If you tried to serve him any of that PG Tips crap, he'd rip you're f**king head off and sh** down your neck...
I've heard he's quite passionate about tea.

A coincidence is just that but if you think it's a meaningful coincidence then it's synchronicity!
